Painting goes places, literally, in this new piece by Jon Rafman and Tabor Robak - an exhibition currently on at Extra Extra Gallery. The exhibition is an application to be downloaded and opened on your computer. The viewer is then positioned to explore an environment the artists have created, entirely textured out of classic paintings that have found their way into the jpeg format online. Now they make up the walls, the ground, the rocks and the paint jobs of various military machines, sacred objects and other loaded items. It’s one hell of a gallery space in there. Headphones recommended.
